Banco Santander and Central Hispano reported operating profits of Pta143.7bn (E864m UKP581m) an increase of 17.5% and around 10% higher than that forecast during the recent proceedings.
Net profit did better with an increase of 25% to Pta61.29bn (E368m UKP248m).
